What is an ex-libris?

An ex-libris is a personalized engraving or stamp pressed onto the first page of a book, showing the name of its owner or of the library it belongs to.


It usually depicts a personal symbol, an illustration that evokes the personality of its owner.

What happens after I place my order?

  1. After your order, Lauren personally begins drawing your idea from the material you have sent us (photos, mood board, notes…).

  2. Within 5 days*, you receive her first drawing proposal by email.

  3. A round of revisions is included, to refine the drawing together.

  4. As soon as you approve the final version, your stamp goes straight into engraving.

  5. It is dispatched as soon as it is ready. Delivery time then depends on the destination and the delivery method chosen.

    *First proposal within 24 hours with the urgent option

How is this ex-libris made?

Every design is drawn to measure by Lauren, our illustrator, following your inspirations.

It is then engraved by hand in France in our workshop, onto a wooden handle fitted with a rubber plate.

Can it be made from my photo?

Of course — it's actually our specialty!

Simply attach the photo when placing your order and we'll use it as the basis for the illustration.
