Which orientation should I choose?

When you order your embosser, you can choose from four pressing orientations: from the bottom, from the top, from the right or from the left.

This choice determines the angle at which the paper enters the embosser and therefore the position of the impression on your surfaces (books, cards, letters, etc.).

Here is a short guide to help you choose:

  • 🔽 From the bottom
Ideal for embossing the bottom of a card, an envelope or an invitation.

➤ Example: discreetly marking the lower corner of a wedding invitation.
  • 🔼 From the top
Perfect for placing an impression at the top of a sheet or a letter.

➤ Example: embossing a personalised letterhead.
  • ➡️ From the right
Recommended for embossing the inside of a book, on a right-hand page.

➤ Example: an ex-libris on the first page of a book.
  • ⬅️ From the left
Less common, but useful if you want to mark the left-hand page of a book or simply prefer it.

➤ Example: embossing a logo on a soft cover opening to the left.

Production time

You will receive a first illustration proposal within 3 working days of your order.

One round of revisions is included in the price to refine your design according to your feedback. We move at your pace.

Once the drawing is approved, engraving of your die begins. Allow about 3 days for the making and shipping of your embosser.

Frequently asked questions

What is a personalised embosser?

It's an embossing tool that leaves a raised impression on paper. Here the impression is entirely personalised, drawn by hand to your wishes, then precisely engraved onto a metal die which is fitted into the embosser.

You can choose between a portable embosser (255 euros) or a deluxe embosser (295 euros).

Which orientation should I choose?

When you order your embosser, you can choose from four pressing orientations: from the bottom, from the top, from the right or from the left.

How long does creation take?

Our embossers are made entirely to measure, with great care taken at every stage.

Here is how it usually goes:

  • Creating the drawing:

You will receive a first illustration proposal within 7 working days of your order.

  • Discussion and revisions:

One round of revisions is included in the price to refine your design according to your feedback. We move at your pace.

  • Engraving and shipping:

Once the drawing is approved, engraving of your die begins. Allow about 2 weeks for the making and shipping of your embosser.

Can I ask for changes after the first proposal?

Yes, one round of revisions is included in the price.
We adjust the drawing according to your feedback before starting the engraving.

What can it be used on?

Mainly on paper between 80 and 250 gsm: books, letters, envelopes, fine cards, menus and so on.

It is not recommended for very thick, laminated or heavy card above 250 gsm.
